In this creative and beginner-friendly project lesson, we explore how to make a customizable CNC trivet that works great as a gift or a practical addition to your home. The inspiration came from a student's request and a design found on Etsy. We'll show you how to design a double-sided project using arcs, grid patterns, and the profile toolpath to carve waffle-fry-style grooves with a ball nose bit. You'll learn how to add custom borders, optimize cut time, and experiment with different shapes, materials, and carving styles (including vector texture). This lesson also shows how to make multiple versions using Vectric’s new sheet duplication feature in V12.5. This is a fast, fun, and flexible project — perfect for holidays, gifts, and even batching for Etsy shops!
