❄️ Get ready for the winter holidays by making this beautiful Snowflake Picture Frame! In this project lesson, Kyle will show you two ways to create this festive project that is perfect for a gift idea or home decor. Learn how to take an image (like a snowflake clip art image) and quickly create a perfectly symmetrical and clean vector from scratch in Vectric, which is essential for smooth CNC cutting. This project is easy enough for a beginner and can be made with Cut2D, VCarve, or Aspire! You'll learn simple techniques like:

• Creating a perfect symmetrical vector using the Draw Rectangle and Circular Copy tools.

• How to properly use the Trace Bitmap tool and why hand-drawing the vector often leads to a better result.

• Making a custom picture cutout (circle, oval, star, etc.) for your frame.

• Setting up a doublesided cut with a pocket on the back to hold the picture and acrylic in place (using a router bit or the CNC).

Plus, for Aspire users, Kyle shows you an easy way to use just two 3D modeling tools—the Create Rounded Shape Component and the Extruding Weave tool—to add a stunning, complex-looking 3D relief to the snowflake and a beaded frame around the picture opening!
