Questions Answered in this Q&A:

  • 00:02:31 - Downloaded the Box Creator gadget and he made his first box on his Onefinity. And he said he made a eight inch by four inch by 10 inch box with square tabs using half inch Baltic birch plywood, no lid and a three quarter inch joint width. After the box finished cutting, being cut eighth inch down, cut end mill. He tried to assemble it and the slots were about a quarter inch too narrow. He had to cut it off he had to cut about an eighth inch off each side and did a lot of chisel work. What happened to me was the problem was the female slots in the base were too narrow and that is where I made the cutoffs. What am I doing wrong?
  • 00:15:08 - I'm trying to use the trim tool to trim the lyrics out of a large name. However, it does not work for me.
  • 00:25:59 - If I was going to do a VCarve inlay, would it be better to wait for version 12?
  • 00:29:31 - Trying to print out an island map, but the carving is carving the land rather than the water channels. How do I reverse that? And can I raise the island just a bit and cut away the water?
  • 00:34:03 - CRV file has disappeared, trying to recreate file.
  • 00:39:58 - I'm in the middle of building a set of bar stools for a client. I want to sign my work in a way more permanent than just ink. I've tried to do the signature part in shape or trace, but I've met with poor results. Can you help me with being able to digitalize a signature using Aspire or laser?
  • 00:47:50 - Considering using the fourth axis this winter. My CNC is a Killer Bee from RatRig with the NEMA 23 motors, and it gives the specs on the motors, driven by XPro5 from Sparks Concepts. I guess I have to buy the same engine and build the bases of the fourth axis.Or what do you advise me?
  • 00:53:17 - Hoping a pistol case would make for a fun lesson. I have a potential customer that is looking for a unique design and I thought it was a great opportunity to showcase what a CNC could accomplish.Thinking maybe a 3D pistol with the same as provided around the primary box. Let me know what you think, Kyle
  • 01:00:31 - Have you done a miter fold box similar to Onefinity's video?
  • 01:01:44 - Could you cover multiple tools in 3D roughing and rotary, I end up with too much material for the finish to remove?
