⚓In this lesson, Kyle enhances a Port of Newcastle sign by making the letters "pop" with a 3D inlaid effect without complex 3D modeling, drawing inspiration from Synergy Signs and Graphics. He demonstrates how to prepare the existing design by fixing the "W" in "NEWCASTLE" using node editing and joining vectors. Learn to choose a new boat clipart that fits the oval space and use the nesting tool to efficiently arrange individual letters for carving. Kyle also explains how to create "male" letter pieces using the PRISM carving toolpath and "female" pockets for inlay , emphasizing proper tool selection (V-bits for sharp tips ) and managing allowances for a perfect fit. Discover essential tips for holding down material using painter's tape and super glue, and how to use the job sheet for critical toolpath information.
