"Cornucopia, made from Maple slab, 15” x 20” by 2 ½ inches. This was a total of a 27 hour carve starting with a ½ inch EM, all the way down to 1/16 inch tapered ball nose. Finished with epoxy paint.

This is a gift for a family that has adopted my wife and I, and always invites us to their holiday meals every year!"

Submission D

"Made some wall art for the house. My first thought was to just paint the v-carve and then my wife talked me into painting the relief carve also. It's her kitchen so I do as the boss says.

This is 11 x 14 x .75 and took about 10 hours to carve. Started with an IDC Badger 1/8" roughing bit and finished with a .045r tapered ball nose. The clipart was a package from the Design and Make store and changed the layout to meet the boss's approval.

We normally have around 30 people over for Thanksgiving and some bring artwork and most bring food. Always something to be thankful for at my house, especially during the holidays.

I'd like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving, and a special thanks to Kyle for all that he does for us out here trying to learn our craft better."

Submission E

"The season of family meals are here. Why not breakout the good stuff. These cutting boards are useful and able to be a center piece 12 x18.5 x 1.5 . Used a 1" surfacing bit, and a3/4 core box bit for the juice groove 0.1 depth and .375 depth for pocket to pick it up . I sanded it up to 340 grit. I used mineral oil and bee wax to season it.( I forgot to take picture of the bottom of the main board so I added a pic to show the handle.)"
